Assume you are Wrong

Posted by

Assuming you are wrong, about everything, is a highly effective way to ensure constant learning and continual improvement.

All knowledge is incomplete. Whatever you think you know, there is more to learn; so you can never be 100% ‘right’, about anything.

Instead, start from the assumption that you are wrong. This creates the conditions for the acquisition of more knowledge, taking on fresh perspectives, listening to all sides. It creates the conditions for betterment.

Then repeat the cycle. Only those who reach a fixed conclusion are ever truly wrong.
