More than anything, this past year has been a powerful reminder of the significance of adaptability and the value of the growth mindset.
There are always things beyond your control; the vast majority of things, in fact. Don’t put your focus there.
Similarly there are always things that are within your control; your mindset and your actions. Those things decide the reality of your experience. Put your focus there.
How you remember 2020, or indeed any year, distils to this concept.
Understood that way, it has been the ultimate learning experience – an opportunity to put lofty principles into practice, to shift stance and pivot accordingly, in line with nature and the ever-shifting flow of life.
Understand this, and you come to see that there are no ‘good’ or ‘bad’ years. There is only, ever, what you choose to focus on.
And that’s a choice you get to make every single day.
